The Secret Language of a 3 month old!!!!!

Drew is now 13 pounds 11 ounces. He loves to play with his feet! Drew is talking all the time...when you talk to him, he just tells you a story!He rolled over from his back to his belly on April 28th and of course I got it on video! He is starting to kick and play in the bathtub....he is so CUTE!

Drew is now 11 pounds 13 ounces! 23 1/2 inches long. He is smiling back when you talk or smile at him. He loves tummy time. He can hold his head up and look around. He has now found his feet!

Hard Day!

Drew's Journey Begins

So while getting ready for Drew to come home I had GREAT advice given to me! BUT......the advice was about the diapers I need to use, what types of bottles to use,  formulas, Dr's....etc. NEVER ONCE did someone say "Mandi, he will make these noises while he eats and sleeps. OR "Mandi he will breathe hard and fast".  So that first night not only because I just could not stop looking at him......but because of ALL the noises he was making while he slept... I did not sleep! To be honest I could not wait for daylight so that I could hold him!!!!!! For the first few weeks, we had a house full, phones ringing off the hook and people to go visit ( I was LOVIN it)! We just sat around the house and enjoyed eachother!

The Day I Fell In Love All Over Again

Here we are at Cheddars

On February 28th we were able to meet our new little miracle. Pops, Nana, Adrien, and Nana K.  met Matt and I at our house and headed off to get our little guy! We had a great lunch at Cheddars.....I was so sick to my stomach!!!! Did not eat much!!!! I just wanted to be at the agency and hold my baby. When we got to the agency, our caseworker met with us to complete the paper work. About 20 minutes later, we were placed in the placement room, where we waited for our son. Heart pounding, knees shaking, hands sweating, and the big moment is here! The door opens and in walks birth parents and birth grandmothers and in this little blanket wrapped all snug as a bug in a rug, was God's plan for us! Birth mom hands Drew to me and I will forever remember the bond she and I had......not a word was said but our eyes connected! We all visited for a little while and then our family was invited in. I have waited 12 years to see my family with my baby....and that day was finally here! When we left, I was the happiest I have EVER been.....but then I would start to think about the birth families and I felt guilty; what was making me happy was making them sad. All the way home I could not stop looking at him! I could not wait for everyone to meet Drew. Boy when we got home we had a full house! April had a banner made for us along with pizza and desserts. We had family, neighbors and friends waiting on us.
